Football's title game is coming soon...here are some memories from past games for New England and New York

    The great Walter Payton of Chicago runs through New England's defense. Chicago won this game 46-10 in New Orleans in 1986.

    New York defeated Denver in 1987 in Pasadena 39-20. It was their first title.

    Area fans will remember New York and Buffalo in 1991 playing for the right to be called the champions of the professional football world!

    Scott Norwood missed a field goal as time expired, giving New York a 20-19 win over Buffalo and cursing Buffalo forever, as the team would go on to lose three consecutive championship games after this.

    Green Bay beat New England in 1997 35-21. New England was never really in this game, leaving them with two blowout losses in New Orleans.

    Tom Brady introduced himself to the world in New Orleans in 2002. New England pulled off a major upset in beating St. Louis 20-17 in the first title game played after 9/11.
